So I was thinking about how the films could be edited, this is a nice style - it's not boring.
Boring, to me, would probably be:
Question #1 / Person A answering question / Question #2 / Person A answering question / Question #3 / Person A answering question / and then.... Question #1 / Person B answering question / Question #2 / Person B answering question / Question #3 / Person B answering question... And then it goes on and on and on.
I know, it may be obvious that it's not a brilliant idea, but I'd like to point it out anyway.
So instead of that way, it would probably be like this:
Question #1 / Person A's answer / Person B's answer / Person C's answer ... Question #2 / Person B's answer / Person D's answer / Person E's answer ... Question #3 / Person F's answer / Person A's answer / Person C's answer
I'm sure this explanation would be a lot nicer in the form of a storyboard -- I can't draw very well, but it's no excuse, I think I'll get on it.
------
Aside from that, we filmed today!
Camera(wo)man/Director - Nicole Chen
Interviewer - Lynz Bahrin
Director - Maisha Yoosuf
Sound Engineer - Sara Aznan
First we came up with a storyboard of how it's probably going to be, because we would have a clearer idea of what our final product is going to look like.
And then we decided that we should come up with a maximum of 3 questions because if we had too much, we wouldn't kind of know where to go with that... and we would be all over the place.
So the questions we asked were:
What do you think makes Malaysia so unique?
What do you know about Ramadan?
How are you involved in the celebration of Ramadan?
Most of the people interviewed were non-Muslims, and I think it makes it even better since it proves that non-Muslim people do, in fact, know about it, and how to respect this holy month, and they are also involved in the celebration in some way.
PS: Oh my goodness, I just realised nobody took photos of us in action!!!! Or did you? Anybody?
